GOVO2 Privacy Policy

GOVO2 is a fitness and training app that estimates VO2max and supports cycling workouts using data from compatible sensors and Apple Health, when permission is granted.
GOVO2 is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clearance to exercise.
Data GOVO2 may use
GOVO2 may use the following data to provide app functionality:
- Cycling power data from compatible power meters
- Heart rate data from Apple Watch or compatible heart rate sensors
- Workout data
- Apple Health / HealthKit data, if the user grants permission
- Profile settings entered by the user, such as FTP, body weight, age, resting heart rate, and training zones
Workout and sensor data are intended to remain local to the user’s device unless a future feature clearly states otherwise.
Account and consent data
GOVO2 uses Sign in with Apple to link a user’s acceptance of the Terms & Disclaimer to a consent record.
When a user accepts the Terms & Disclaimer, GOVO2 may store a server-side consent record that includes:
- Sign in with Apple identifier
- Accepted terms version
- Accepted terms hash
- Acceptance timestamp
- App version
- Build number
- Platform
- Device model
- IP address
- User agent
This consent record is used to document that the user accepted the Terms & Disclaimer.
How data is used
GOVO2 uses data to:
- Estimate VO2max and related fitness metrics
- Display workout and training progress
- Connect to power meters, Apple Watch, and heart rate sensors
- Save local workout history
- Document acceptance of the Terms & Disclaimer
- Maintain app security and reliability
Data sharing
GOVO2 does not sell personal data.
GOVO2 does not use third-party advertising tracking.
GOVO2 does not share workout or sensor data with third parties for advertising.
Server-side consent records may be stored with secure service providers used to operate GOVO2.
Health data
Health and fitness data is used only for app functionality. GOVO2 does not use HealthKit data for advertising or tracking.
User responsibility
GOVO2 provides fitness estimates only. Users are responsible for deciding whether they are healthy enough to exercise and should consult a qualified clinician before beginning or changing an exercise program if they have medical concerns.

Basic troubleshooting
If sensors do not connect:
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled
- Make sure the power meter is awake
- Make sure Apple Watch is nearby, unlocked, and on wrist
- Make sure GOVO2 has the needed Health permissions
- Restart GOVO2 if sensors do not reconnect
- Confirm the latest version of GOVO2 is installed
Exercise safety
Stop exercising immediately and seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, unusual shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, palpitations, severe fatigue, confusion, or symptoms that feel concerning.
